Where the figures come from
Every published rule this site applies, the Irish body that publishes it, and the month we last checked it against them. If something here is out of date, that is a fault worth reporting — tell us and we will fix it.
What “reviewed” means here
That somebody opened the authority’s own page, confirmed the figure, and moved the date forward. Not that the code still runs. Where a figure has no official publisher — building costs are the only case — it is labelled an estimate on every page that uses it, and never presented as an official figure.
CheckIreland is independent and is not affiliated with the Irish Government or any public body. Linking to an authority is a citation, not an endorsement by them.

When it changes: These are the one dataset here with no official publisher: no Irish body publishes a price list for building work. They are estimates, labelled as estimates on every page that uses them, and should be re-reviewed at least annually.
What is not on this list
Anything you type into a calculator. Your figures are used by the calculation running in your browser and go nowhere else — there is no server in the loop, and nothing is stored. The only exception is a link you choose to share, which carries the numbers you entered so the person opening it sees the same result.
Assumptions are also not sources. Where a tool has to assume something — an investment return, a depreciation rate, how long an appliance lasts — that assumption is stated on the page and you can change it. It is never presented as a published figure.
